About The Event

Diversity Book Club: Decolonizing Therapy

Join us for our first in-person meeting!

The Diversity Book Club meets once monthly for intentional conversation on Dr. Jennifer Mullan’s trailblazing book Decolonizing Therapy: Oppression, Historical Trauma, and Politicizing Your Practice. Moving through one chapter at a time, we explore how colonization and systemic oppression have shaped the field of psychology, while reflecting on how our own histories, identities, and lived experiences inform the ways we understand healing. Each gathering will offer space for reflection, dialogue, and ceremony — supporting deeper awareness and meaningful change in both our personal and professional lives.

We're looking forward to gathering in-person for our May meeting, allowing us to engage more deeply with one another as we explore this month's key concepts, such as the soul wound and historical trauma.
